What is the apprenticeship program?
Are you ready to go deeper and put the embodied soul in the driving seat of your life? Would you like to take that journey with similarly committed people and with great guidance? Are you someone who wants to grow their personal power, take responsibility for your life and share your medicine with the world?
The Movement Medicine® Apprenticeship Program is both for those who wish to train with Ya'Acov and Susannah to teach Movement Medicine, and for those who wish to take a deep and sustained dive into applying Movement Medicine concepts and practice to their lives. It is an intense and demanding programme that provides a curated blend of support and challenges, guided by skilled Movement Medicine Professionals who have taken the full training path with Ya'Acov and Susannah.

The program invites participants to look at their lives as a creative project and to design their own intention for the journey. These have ranged from completing writing a book to making peace with their family. The intensity of the program allows for a total immersion in the practice, guided by your own chosen intention.
You can expect to be well met both by your Apprenticeship Guides and by your fellow Apprentices and you will be joining a circle of Movement Medicine Apprentices from around the world who are committed to standing up, growing up and playing their role in life to the best of their ability.

the program is for people who:
- Integrate the practice, philosophy and application of Movement Medicine as ‘medicine for our times’ into their own lives
- Embrace life physically, emotionally, conceptually and spiritually, with its depth, heights and mystery.
- Make a difference in the world and walk their talk in all areas of life
- Embody who they are in all aspects of their lives
- Be part of a community of mutual flourishing and are willing and able to bring integrity, respect and kindness to self and others.
- Have a sense of humour about themselves and yet are serious about what they want to create in this life

Anna Sierpowska's Apprenticeship
Supported by Kaya T. Sertic
This Apprenticeship programme is taught in Polish and English.
"This is a journey into the fascination woven through every frequency of life — an embodied, sacred dance with your existence. It invites you to bring forth the most essential project of your life: living in alignment with your soul's calling and expressing it fully in the world.
Over the course of 12 months, you will inhabit the liminal space — that rich terrain of becoming. At times, you will stand at the edge as the walker of thresholds, at other times as the dreamer or the wandering seeker.
Through embodied practices rooted in Movement Medicine, body-oriented psychotherapy, and somatic exploration, we will journey deep into the structures of the body — bones, muscles, fascia, and the nervous system. With radical acceptance of what has been given and what has shaped you, we will unravel old patterns, understand the psyche’s hidden language, and make rooted, aligned choices for how you wish to walk your path forward.
You will call upon your guiding star through embodied ritual, calibrating your compass in ceremonial spaces, and work like alchemic with patience and devotion making mistakes, falling apart, at the end collecting Your treasure. Your own soul medicine." Anna Sierpowska
David Mooney's apprenticeship
This Apprenticeship programme is taught in English.
"I have worked closely with Ya’Acov and Susannah for over 20 years, this as well as the 18 years of my Psychotherapy training and clinical practice in Person Centered Psychotherapy, IFS, Polyvagal Theory, Somatic Experiencing and my blessed journey of 7 years with the Lakota Sun Dance have created deep ground, resource and resilience. I weave these amazing practices and medicines into the Apprenticeship journey." David Mooney
Here are some words from someone who has completed our Apprenticeship recently:
“The Apprenticeship journey was such an incredible gift to myself and one I will always be grateful for. David is an exceptional teacher, with vast depths of experience and embodied knowledge, a powerful guide and ally you can rely on. He creates a field of safety, power, poetry, humour, and love - moving with the spirit of life - providing an alchemical vessel in which you can find the next steps of your journey, wherever you are going. Dancing in this community, I found movement which spoke to me from my own depths; what I longed for, my work and soul purpose, my challenge and my medicine. At each step of the way I felt deeply valued, seen and heard as an individual and encouraged to let more of myself be present. If you feel called to this path I’m happy for you and wholeheartedly recommend it.”
Kate Abolins (participant in AP10).
Anne Ena's & Nicolas' Apprenticeship
This Apprenticeship programme is taught in French & English.
"We have been supporting groups for 30 years and have always enjoyed creating festive, creative, and at the same time “safe” atmospheres, that is to say, ones conducive to finding more magic within oneself and to building vibrant communities of connections.
With Movement Medicine and Apprenticeship, we gain access to another, even more engaged dimension, connected to the invisible, the sacred. The tools of Movement Medicine strengthen our inner compass and provide the ability to orient our lives, even in the midst of our storms. They provide us with essential practices for descending into the evolving material of our daily lives.
It is with gratitude that we contribute to restoring this sense of commitment, to our life, Life, and our world, offering an AP in France. We also bring the precise framework of alchemy applied to the body (Les Neuf Souffles), which we teach professionally, to open the floodgates of poetry and the encounter with the characters that inhabit us, as well as the symbolism of the different areas of our body.
Polyvagal Theory is at the centre of our safe framework, and we increasingly appreciate the quality of relationships it allows between participants, making this cycle a true adventure of fraternal evolution."

The doors are open
Apprenticeship is the way that Ya'Acov and Susannah learned. 18 years with Gabrielle Roth, 20 with Matthis Penta and many more with their teachers in the Amazon. Long-term learning and commitment are helped by being part of community. By joining an Apprenticeship Program, you will be welcomed into the global community of Movement Medicine apprentices. One of the signatures of this work is the mutually enhancing nature of individuality and being part of community. Are you ready to dance?
