Wow. The 14th Summer Long Dance is completed and its energy is rippling out into the world. This one was experienced by many of us as the deepest and strongest yet. The Long Dance is the centre of our Movement Medicine year and so it is fitting to complete our School year with this magnificent crescendo. We thank everyone who was part of this event, including our guests from the Ecuadorian Amazon Manari Ushigua and Belen Paez. We echo Belen’s words: “This Long Dance ceremony was deep, rooted and cosmic”.

Ya’Acov, Manari and Susannah

The ceremony was a strong prayer for life, it brought healing to many and has raised over £100,000 for a massive array of wonderful projects around the globe.

We suggest you put the 2025 Summer Long Dance in your diary now and watch out for when bookings open.

The school’s office will be operating with reduced hours over August. Laura has reflected on this year in a special blog post- see bottom of the newsletter.  If you have an enquiry, we will get back to you but it will be slower than usual.

This month we have a different newsletter for you in which we take this chance to pay a special tribute to our Movement Medicine Professionals.

If you head over to the website you will find an abundance of unique Movement Medicine teachers and facilitators, each with their own page full of information about them and what they are offering.

GRADUATION CELEBRATIONS

Graduating as a Movement Medicine professional is a significant accomplishment, one that demands dedicated inner and outer work. This involves self-reflection, continuous learning, supervised practice, a mini-thesis and the task of documenting and articulating this journey.

We are thrilled to celebrate the graduation of Duduzile Voigts and Carolyn Wood. Both of them are on profound personal healing journeys, which deeply inform their work with others.

Duduzile and Carolyn bring the transformative power of Movement Medicine to the people who choose to dance with them in unique ways which could come through no-one else. We celebrate these graduations with much joy.

REGIONAL CELEBRATION

We are delighted to share our first regional celebration with you! The Movement Medicine teachers from Germany have created a simply stunning short video to share with you all. Thank you Yuki!
