Welcome to our March Newsletter. We’ve been deeply involved in our 1-1 sessions with the wonderful Movement Medicine professionals who are currently in training with us. And they’ve been sharing with us the highly individual ways and contexts in which they have begun to offer Movement Medicine. From embodied experience in a museum, to a weekly morning women’s group, to working with doctors, nurses and staff in hospitals, to evening open sessions for the public and far more. As spring comes into view, there is much for us to celebrate and of course, much for us to work towards.

It's such a soul delight for us to see how many ways Movement Medicine is spreading its wings and contributing to a sense of embodied presence and heart in this world.

The power and importance of ceremony is a core aspect of Movement Medicine. Ceremony helps us to see our day-to-day existence in the context of the wider community of life and supports us to re-focus on what really matters.

We have recently come back from a deep immersion in the the Amazon rainforest and we are getting prepared for our annual Summer Long Dance ceremony. Alongside that, we are about to teach a CPD (Continued Professional Development) module for our trained Movement Medicine Professionals on working with ceremony, Movement Medicine style. To give you more context, Susannah's blog for this month is a deeply personal sharing on being in the Amazon and the dance between the life of ceremony and the ceremony of life.

Summer LOng Dance with the spirit of life

Sat 19 Jul - Fri 25 Jul 2025

Devon, United Kingdom

The Summer Long Dance is the centre of our Movement Medicine year. See the two Dancers Stories (below) for two participant stories. The Long Dance is both a personal and collective act of dedication to the wellbeing of the Earth.

In December last year when Ya’Acov was teaching in Zagreb, he sat down with Marco and Marco, who run the Core Dialog podcast. It was a deep discussion and Ya’Acov says: ‘In that discussion, I found the best description I’ve found so far of just exactly what Movement Medicine is. It was a far-reaching conversation and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.’ YDK

We'll be tuning into what responsible and embodied communication means. What does it mean to speak with respect for my circle and for yours? What does it mean to bring together body heart and mind, in my active communication as well as my deep listening?

Equinox Tribal Heart

Ceremony

FRI 21 MAR 2025

online

For our community, the Equinox Ceremony is a time for celebrating the rebirth of Movement Medicine as a whole. And whatever the weather in the world, to give time to celebrate the turning of the year and the rebirth of life remains valid and important.

RITUAL

MON 24 MAR- SUN 30 MAR 2025

Devon, United Kingdom

Ritual is a core aspect of Movement Medicine practice, whether it’s explicit or implicit. One of the things we are proud of is that Movement Medicine ceremonies provide space for the expression of human spiritual longing without asking people to sign up to a creed or set of dogmas.
