Welcome to our June newsletter. We're genuinely glad you're here. Wherever life finds you right now, we hope you're managing to make space for a little peace, connection, and at least one good dance with yourself, another human, or the world around you as you wait for the kettle to boil.
This month, we're focusing on the core alchemical practice in Movement Medicine, Phoenix Medicine. Not the "reinvent yourself in three easy steps" version. Rather, the real empowerment and peace work of meeting the stories, wounds and unconscious survival patterns we carry and discovering how they can become medicine rather than life sentences.
The "Phoenix Process" is a central aspect of deep Movement Medicine practice. It's a profound and often surprising embodied process that helps transform the past into resilience, presence and soul-led living. This process enables you go beyond your "story" and habitual sense of self through the power of movement, embodiment and a crystal clear step by step ceremonial process. Old identities lose their grip, and you can reconnect with the deeper intelligence at the core of who you are.
There are two opportunities incoming to dive in with us: Phoenix Rising Online 2026, a four week immersive online journey with Ya'Acov, and Phoenix Rising Costa Rica 2027, an in-person retreat held in the beauty and power of nature, with Susannah & Ya'Acov.

As we grow older, we are recognising the obvious but easily disregarded truth, that now is all we ever have, and that being present, and loving those we are connected with in this mysterious ever unfolding and day to day present is the greatest gift we can give or receive. So we hope you found some inspiration here to live into this moment of your own life.
We wish you all blessings,
With warmth, respect and gratitude,
Ya'Acov, Susannah and the School of Movement Medicine
