Here at SoMM HQ in Devon we are revelling in this year's exquisite autumn leaves. We hope you too are able to find some beauty to nourish and support your being as we imagine that you too, like us, are keenly aware of the suffering in the world.
We are honoured that members of Combatants for Peace (CfP) joined us in last Friday’s Samhain Tribal Heart online ceremony. CfP is the paradigm shifting organisation whose members are Palestinian and Israeli ex-combatants who work together non-violently for peace.
Last Friday’s deep dancing ceremony raised between £800 & £900, exactly figure to come, for CfP. We were deeply touched and inspired by what our guests from CfP shared at the start of the ceremony. You can still access the recording through the Study Hub (see below). Let’s dance!
In late October, we were informed of the sudden passing of two fellow dancers, a loss that has deeply impacted their colleagues in our community. See the Remembering section below.

Realisation: The Power of Peace
The realisation of peace is not simply a matter of peace of mind. It is peace of body and heart, peace across the arc of time, and peace across all 5 Dimensions of relationship. Through our practice and self-reflection, we will explore how true peace arises not from external circumstances, but from the clarity and alignment within. As we dance, breathe, and listen, my aim is to support you to move through the inner conflicts and tensions that keep us away from the power of peace.

Ecstasis, literally meaning ‘to stand outside oneself,’ is a state that has been available to humans across culture and time. We take standing outside ourselves to mean a state in which we are can see the bigger picture in which our lives exist. Ecstasis can arise at any time, and it tends to give deeper context and meaning to our lives. It can refer to grief as well as joy and through it, we can gain valuable insight and guidance into our lives and what actually matters most to us.
