This gathering is focused on the Spring Dream Dance Rebirth ceremony, a 48-hour journey aimed at supporting dancers to focus their spring energy for the year ahead and offer up prayers for these dreams and all that we are connected to. For the first time, this event is open to the general public alongside the Movement Medicine apprenticeship community. You can expect this gathering to be personally empowering, healing and inspiring for your life’s journey. Rebirth matches the energy of spring and is a wonderful time to refresh your sense of purpose and direction.
We see this ceremony as the lunar twin to the sun of Summer Long Dance ceremony. It is a smaller (max 44 participants), more reflective, quiet, though nevertheless deep and wild at times, ceremony appropriate for the time of year. We will begin by taking time to arrive, check in, remember the resources we are made from and then go into this powerfully healing, nourishing and potential-accessing ceremony together. There will, of course, be time for integration after the ceremony. The ceremony includes 6 hours of sleep in the night-time. Light fasting is part of the 48-hour ceremony which begins at midday on the 28th and ends at midday on the 30th. To be clear, the food before and after the ceremony will be nutritious and delicious. During the 48-hour period of the ceremony, nourishing soup will be provided twice a day inside the ceremonial space and there will be time time to sleep and rest.
Your ticket includes basic accommodation in the dormitory and 3 freshly made meals during the days that you aren't fasting. Dormitory accommodation is limited and works on a first come first served basis. There is an option to upgrade your bedroom when you purchase your ticket and we are unable to reserve rooms for you.
