Well that went fast! I think I say that a lot.... Feels like only a few days ago that Claire and I were sat in a meeting with Susannah and Ya'Acov discussing the upcoming year and our change of roles. That was September 2023. It was there that we agreed that Claire would become Events Manager and that I would be the School's Administrator.

The next few months quickly became very busy as all of our focus was put into building the beautiful new website in which for the first time all of Movement Medicine's wide variety of offerings and Professionals chose to show up together "under one digital roof". A huge amount of my time was spent working out the details of how to support all the amazing Movement Medicine Professionals to create their profiles and share their events on the School's new website and I had to learn quickly - all whilst still running the school. On this note, a mega thank you to Susannah for creating all of the amazing "How to" videos and keeping everyone up to date with the website progress. What a huge effort by so many people!

When the new website was finally launched and we saw the results, we are blown away! So much beautiful information, energy, joy and love. So many amazing professionals holding Movement Medicine space throughout the world, so many beautiful profound events being offered, and now all findable in one place! Once the profiles were put up it had been around 6 months where I simply hadn't needed to go back to the teachers. I did have to last week and was once again blown away!

One of the most significant insights I gained this year was a deep understanding of the intricacies and rigorous demands involved in the journey of training to become a Movement Medicine professional. The process is meticulously designed to ensure that every aspiring professional is thoroughly prepared to hold a space for transformation. It has been a real learning year for me.

What I particularly loved was the sense of team that we had between myself, Claire, Susannah, Ya'Acov and or course our online team. I was also delighted to find some Movement Medicine professionals really stepping up to the challenge by offering to help not only me but their peers to take this new step of visibility. You know who you are. Thank you!

Reflecting back on how my job role and responsibilities compare to last year is really interesting for me. I have learnt how to use so many different platforms, modalities and systems. As surprising as it may sound, this is something I have really enjoyed.

I would like to thank Claire for her dry sense of humour, always making me laugh, even when I'm close to tears! And of course Susannah and Ya'Acov for their patience, compassion and respect. There have been numerous occasions in which I have called on them both together and individually and they have gone out of their way to support me in my work but also in my private life. Whether granting me space to complete assignments for my degree or allowing my son Harry into Zoom meetings!

A massive perk of this job for me is the flexibility. The above photo was taking of me working with the most incredibly view of Burgh Island in Devon- how lucky am I!

And my little boy, who is forever by my side. We had a few special moments this year. One of which was when he fell asleep through the beginning of an online ceremony in which Ya'Acov and Susannah were drumming- all I could feel was "this is the same beat of my heart! And he is forever asking to see what I see. Here he is watching Susannahs video regarding her upcoming event Metamorphosis he sat still for seven minutes!! That's a record!
