Marold embarked on a deep long term apprenticeship with Ya’Acov and Susannah 18 years ago. He has been teaching Movement Medicine extensively in the Netherlands and Belgium since 2011, including classes, MM ceremonies, intensives/workshops and retreats.
Marold loves to teach and share the Movement Medicine practice, he is in awe with the transformational power of it and the support for change and growth of it. The practice has changed his live thoroughly and he witnesses the power of it time after time on the dance floor. He teaches with great passion and with deep respect for the dancers.
Marold is an animist, a ritualist, a healer, and a lover of rhythms and ceremonies. He is a gardener, a geologist and an explorer of the powers of Nature. Some call him a witch. He has a passion for shamanic pathways, ancestral work and reverence, and studies with great fascination neurosience. He brings all of these experiences, knowledge and passions into his offerings.
He has brought MM to healing spaces for Iranian political refugees.
Nature being his biggest teacher, he also weaves MM with deep immersions into Nature, offering Vision Quests and meetings with Nature through dance.
Marold is trained by the school of lost borders to guide quests.
African elder, Malidoma Somé, has been a massive teacher for Marold, and in this moment Marold is studying with Daniel Floor (ancestral and animistic work) and Jonathan Horwitz and Anette Høst (general shamanism).
Dancers very often describe the spaces he creates as very safe, infused with earth-based wisdom, transfoming, grounded, joyful and humorous, ceremonial. They say to experience deep acceptance and great freedom to explore.
You can feel the medicine in the space which Marold creates: he loves the dance, the mystery, the rhythms of the body, the natural world and all that arises from that. He teaches with deep respect for the dancers. In this space I feel free and safe to dive much deeper into the healing powers which moves in all of us and which connect us all. - Inge Castelinni
