Music and movement have been healing medicine and a refuge from childhood on: Figureskating as a young girl, Ballet as a teen, Modern dance in my thirties, Tai-chi and Qi-gong in my forties have enriched and possibly even saved my life.
Physical movement – especially in conjunction with beautiful tunes – again and again has led me from traumatic experiences into my body and heart – albeit in the early days certainly more intuitively.
Then I met the Five Rhythms®–dance practice and later Susannah and Ya’Acov Darling Khan and the „School of Movement Medicine“: I was hooked by their elaborate concept of bringing together old shamanic wisdom and the newest scientific knowledge from the fields of Neurobiology and Psychology.
I immediately fell in love with Movement Medicine® and my new teachers. So deeply, that I even changed my career as a herbalist and acupuncturist of Traditional Chinese Medicine then: I wanted to explore new ways and dimensions of healing – for myself and clients to come.
Dance and the healing powers of music became my joyful path, a discovery tour for nearly two decades now, diving into the mysteries of human condition and all life on this beautiful, threatened planet.
While journeying and train professionally with Movement Medicine® since 2008, I also trained with Tamalpa /Anna Halprin in the Life-Art-Process®, became a “Positive-Neuroplasticity-Teacher” with Rick Hanson, a Facilitator of Systemic-Constellations-Work and a trauma-informed "Embodiment-Coach".
Movement Medicine™ has changed my wellbeing profoundly, has helped me to connect much more sincerely with my body, my heart, with myself and others; has taught me to accept my limitations and to go for my dreams; to life my life more fully, to follow curiosity instead of fear (more and more ;-).
I love to create ceremonial spaces, using ritual and music for holistic, truly embodied empowerment and change from within: We need such oases for listening to each other and sharing our humanity.
