Miroslava Janicatova

Czechia
MM Professional Teacher & Facilitator
1Who and where are you?
I am a Somatic Experiencing therapist and Movement Medicine teacher. I also organize swimming with wild dolphins. I offer regular dance evenings, weekend seminars or therapies – in Prague, Czechia. I love this work, because I believe that each of us carries a unique gift that can blossom when we are seen, heard and held in our truth.
2Are you a Movement Medicine teacher and/or facilitator? When did you train and graduate?
I am a teacher and facilitator. I trained in 2022 and graduated in 2025.
3Who do you serve with your Movement Medicine work?
I serve those who long to come home – to their body, their truth, their essence. Those who feel there's something more waiting inside them to be felt, expressed, freed, to live. And it is a great privilege for me to be a part of it and witness this big mystery of life.
4What is the meaning of this work for you?
This work reminds me that I belong to this body, to the Earth, to the web of life. It teaches me how to listen, how to move with what is – not against it and simply let life work through me. It invites me to surrender to the intelligence of the body, to trust the timing of the heart, and to allow the dance to show me the next step.
5Please tell us about two recent precious moments you’ve experienced in your professional Movement Medicine work.
After a dance class, a man came up to me, said, “For the first time in years, I felt my heart beating.” We stood in silence, and I felt the sacredness of holding space for something so simple and real. Two was on the boat. The woman said, “I am here.” It was as if the sea, the music, and her soul had all come together in that one breath.
6Please tell us something about when you recognised that Movement Medicine was going to play an important role in your life.
When, thanks to dance and movement, I started to feel my body and emotions for the first time in my life. When I was able to really cry after a long time. When I went to my first open dance class and was completely disgusted by it.
7The thing you find yourself saying most often to your participants.
Don't stand in life's way. Allow yourself to surrender. Allow yourself to be guided and let life create through you. Dance as if it were the last dance of your life.
8If you had 9 words to say anything you wanted to the world, what would it be?
The most powerful force in this universe is love.
