What happens after the workshop?

We'll share a few simple ways to continue exploring Movement Medicine, including the Study Hub, online courses and future workshops. There's no obligation to continue, the invitation is simply there if you'd like to keep exploring.

What if I can't attend the live workshop?

You'll be able to access the recording for three months afterwards. However, we recommend joining live if you can, as the shared experience and opportunities for reflection and connection are an important part of the day.

Will the workshop be recorded?

Yes. A recording of the workshop will be available for three months after the live event, so you can revisit the practices in your own time. Breakout conversations will not be recorded.

How much space do I need?

Enough space to move your body comfortably and safely. You don't need a large room or a dedicated dance space — we'll offer practices that can be adapted to the space you have.

What do I need to take part online?

You'll need a computer or tablet, a stable internet connection and a space where you can move comfortably and safely. Wear clothes that allow you to move freely. Headphones are optional.

What if I feel self-conscious or nervous about dancing?

That's very common, especially when you're new. You won't be asked to perform or dance in a particular way. The emphasis is on your own experience, and you are always invited to move, pause or adapt in whatever way feels right for you.

Do I need to be physically fit or able to move in a particular way?

No. You can participate in a way that works for your own body, including sitting, resting or adapting the practices when needed. See our Accessibility section for more information.

Do I need to be a dancer?

Not at all. There are no steps to learn and no right way to dance. Movement Medicine is about listening to your own body and discovering your own movement, rather than performing or getting things right.

I've never done Movement Medicine before. Is this for me?

Absolutely. This workshop is specifically designed as an introduction, so no previous Movement Medicine experience is needed. You don't need to know anything about the practice before you arrive.
