This Month's Hub Lesson
This month, we delve into the hidden key of "interoception" our capacity to perceive and be aware of what is happening inside our own bodies.
In our experience, developing interoception deepens the quality of our presence. It can strengthen our emotional intelligence and self-awareness, and support our capacity for empathy and connection with others. So much begins here.
Interoception is one of the fundamental aspects of Movement Medicine. It is part of what we mean when we speak about not simply moving, but moving with awareness, and not simply being, but being with awareness.
It is such a powerful gateway that we have decided to dedicate a whole month to exploring and inquiring into it. There are connections here with what Eugene Gendlin called the felt sense, though we are using the term from contemporary neuroscience: interoception.
