Humans have been making ritual for hundreds of thousands of years. Ritual has been woven throughout every part of our life from the dawn of our history. It’s in our nature to dedicate time, space & create to mark significant moments of our lives.
In this workshop we will be sharing about different rituals. Through the dance we will be exploring our connection to different aspects of rituals, finding what feels relevant to each of us individually and looking for practical steps that can support crafting your own ritual which you will bring with you into your life.
We will be honoring and connecting to the land, to the spirits of this land, to the waters, to the songs and people.
We will also be making our own shamanic rattles from wild gathered materials, and exploring how they can support us on our journey.
This workshop does not ask you to belong to any specific tradition. It is more of a reminder to what all of us have deep within us, a space to share and explore your connection to the meaning of ritual in your life and to dream into existence specific ritual that can support you at this time.

Exploring the use of plants indigenous to this land

PRICE:
The price for the full workshop including the rattle making is 75 euros.
Early bird price (until February 25) is 60 euros.

About Dorrie:
Dorrie Joy is an UK based artist, writer, speaker, traditional craftswoman and internationally renowned ceremonial leader. She carries the Art of Altars and holds workshops as sacred spaces that centre creativity as an intentional practice of soul mending & belonging.
She is really happy to be coming to Croatia.
We’ll be sharing the Sacred Art of Ritual from a contemporary and indigenous perspective, journeying through movement, dance, breath and blessing.
We’ll be hand crafting shamanic rattles from river stones & wild totems, each one shaped with our unique flavour of love, care & purpose, to take home & use as a tool that supports ritual, connection, ancient memory, ceremonial singing & shamanic practice.

About Kaya:
Kaya has been working as a body-oriented psychotherapist, Movement Medicine dance teacher and ceremony leader, mentor and lecturer, holding workshops, ceremonies, trainings, intensive programs and retreats in Croatia and around the world. Through a variety of different therapeutic, shamanic and dance practices, initiations, explorations and personal experience, the essence of her work is to bring possibilities of empowerment, healing and resourcing, as well as a sense of purpose, dignity and love to the challenges of today's world.
