We could all be far more powerful in this world than we are. At the same time, we all know how power can be destructive. And there are many in this world who couldn’t give a damn about the effects of their actions who happily use whatever power they can to do whatever they please. Leaving power to others and making power itself the problem will not create the changes you wish to see. RISE is an invitation to shift the balance of power within you from ego to soul. It will support you to transform your relationship to power and in so doing, give yourself every opportunity to rise from the ashes of the past and tell a story imbued with the quality of your own unique soul print.
power is neutral
Although power itself is neutral, our relationship to it steers much of the course of our life experiences. If you want to make a difference in this world, then healing your relationship with power alongside developing your personal power is an absolute necessity.
about the workshop
During this residential intensive, we will investigate power through intensive Movement Medicine practice, mask work and the overnight Burial Ceremony (*). We will seek to find where we are denying or ignoring our power and sending it into the shadows. And we will take the time to release a few old stories that might be in the way of understanding the true nature of our power.
With clear guidance, great music and a safe and clearly held space, we will re-design our connection to power so that it serves us to live more deeply, mindfully, and creatively, bringing balance to our lives.
The burial ceremony
The burial ceremony is a perfectly safe and powerful ceremony that gives us the opportunity to meet Benevolent Death as a teacher and guide. Ya'Acov has led this ceremony many times and this is a rare opportunity to see your life from a whole new perspective, namely from inside the grave 😉💚.
We will look at how our relationship with different kinds of power has got in the way of our success and we will seek to leave those old stories behind in the grave. In the empty space and with the support of benevolent death, we will design a new power story that serves the soul to bring its light into being and into action in a world that needs people of power to stand up for what they know to be right.
