We will work from 10am - 1pm and 3pm - 6pm UK time.
This is a one day online zoom event with Susannah designed as a gentle co-learning space for all Movement Medicine Professionals; to be together, give and receive support, share and learn. A chance to explore what you are experiencing, learning and needing to develop as a MM professional.
In contrast to the ”in the room” CPD modules where we are learning about a new aspect of MM, this Online CPD is designed to support you and to help you refine and enjoy what you are already doing. Will include some simple helpful stuff on DJ-ing to make life 'behind the decks’ easier and smoother.
There will be time for moving together, enquiry about specific topics (see below, watch this space and feel free to suggest ones you'd like to be on the agenda) open sharing and enquiry with the whole group (practising embodied listening together) and time in small groups with others from your PT and/or CPD cohort.
These online CPDs are different from those Rill intensives where we are teaching another level of MM. In the Online day CPDs our focus is not developing the capacity its to teach a new level of MM, but refining the skills we already have. From our point of view its about supporting and valuing all our teachers and facilitators and making space to hear from, connect with and support people, who are for instance, teaching one class a month.
We will work from 10am - 1pm and 3pm - 6pm UK time.
Specific topics already on the cards are:
- Time for meeting and sharing in small groups of your cohort. This is always important, and the topics which may emerge from this.
- Many teachers have noticed that since covid, people (especially young people) do not seem to know how to connect with each other, and are either very distant and separate, or all over each other. Learning about how to meet this edge, and especially on the theme of "voluntary proximity".
- Celebrations and grief.
- Some simple DJ tricks to help develop fluidity and ease "behind the decks" with meeting and matching group energy.
- Discovering the revelatory and healing breakthroughs that the "In the Mirror of Thee" practice can bring and dissolving the fear that has often seemed to get in the way of this practice. We have come to understand more about how to teach this (and how we had not made it clear enough) and also why it is so important for those developing leadership power.
