Susannah returns to Aarau with a new Movement Medicine workshop exploring moving constellations and the intricate weave of inner and outer connectedness through time and space.
We will dance with belonging and being fully ourselves, with individuality and interconnection. For the first time in a workshop, Susannah will bring together Movement Medicine and her own way of integrating the magic and mystery of family constellations.
Family constellations offer an extraordinary way of exploring the often unseen fabric of our connections with those who came before us. Ancestral experiences and patterns can continue to influence the stories we tell about who we are, the energy we carry, our sense of belonging and what we imagine to be possible for us.
Within constellation work, participants are invited to represent people or aspects of another person’s relational system. At times, representatives experience sensations, emotions, images or impulses that seem to arise from somewhere beyond their conscious knowledge. In Susannah’s experience, when what emerges is witnessed and acknowledged, something within the system often begins to shift.
This work does not claim to reveal an absolute or historical truth. We cannot know with certainty what these experiences mean or where the information comes from. Instead, we will approach what arises with humility, curiosity and respect, allowing it to open possibilities rather than become a fixed conclusion.
The embodied presence cultivated through Movement Medicine brings a particular depth and integrity to this work. Listening through the body and heart, as well as the mind, helps us become receptive to sensation, energy, feeling, image and impulse without becoming attached to what we think should be there. This requires discipline, discernment and a willingness to remain open to the unknown.
Much of our exploration will happen individually and in smaller groups. At different moments, you will be invited to move in service to another person’s enquiry, perhaps representing a known or unknown ancestor, just as others will offer that service to you. In Susannah’s experience, taking such a role often brings deep insight and nourishment to the person representing, as well as offering something of value to the person whose constellation is being explored.
Alongside our exploration of ancestral connection, we will enter a deep ceremony of acknowledgement and healing, seeking greater balance within our energetic relationships with the elements.
Throughout the workshop, the dignity of every participant and of all those whose lives and stories may be touched will remain central.
