Initiation is a process of reflecting on how you have been living your life, and discovering new ways of relating to the life ahead.
In this retreat, you will revisit your life story through dance by moving through nine life cycles—from conception to death—offering a space to see your journey with fresh perspective.
Over the course of nine days, we explore each stage of life: conception, birth, childhood, puberty, adolescence, adulthood, maturity, elderhood and death.
In the first half, you will engage with the earlier life cycles through the body, bringing awareness to past experiences and patterns formed during those times, and exploring new ways of relating to them where needed. In the latter part of the retreat, a full day is dedicated to a Mini Vision Quest—a time for quiet reflection. Here, you are invited to step back, take in the arc of your life, and listen for the direction that is emerging. This retreat offers an opportunity to deepen your understanding of your own life, to recognize the resources and possibilities within it, and to bring that awareness into your future choices and actions.
-This course is a required course for participation in the Apprenticeship Program scheduled to take place in Japan and China in 2027.
