Dear Reykjavik Family!
Let us invite you for another Ecstatic Dance in our beautiful and new White Lotus space
It will happen on Wednesday 21.02 at 18.00

“Life is Movement. And Movement is Medicine.”

Before the Ecstatic Dance there will be a Movement Medicine class led by Kvika Föld.
Movement Medicine is a creative, embodied dance practice for our times. It is rooted in ancient wisdom and modern understanding of how movement is medicine, keeping you grounded, resourced and in touch with your capacity to dance with and alchemise whatever life brings.

Kvika Föld has been teaching dance as healing art since 2006. She trained with Susannah & Ya’Acov Darling Khan and graduated 2015 as a fully qualified Movement Medicine teacher. She has a background in visual arts, the 12 step program, food as medicine, various kinds of inner work, as well as being a mother of two courageous women.

Ecstatic Dance Community Agreements:

To maintain ultimate freedom we agree to the following:
Ecstatic dance is a freeform dance - feel free to dance as you please.
Opening and closing the dance together honours community and creates intention.
Ecstatic dance welcomes you to make sounds on the dance floor. If you wish to engage in conversation, please do so out of the shala.
Ecstatic Dance encourages barefoot dancing (unless a medical condition or flooring prohibits).
Ecstatic dance is a drug and alcohol free event, inviting you to reach your own natural state of ecstasy.
Ecstatic dance is a no phone zone. Please enjoy the space with your senses and not with your video camera.
Ecstatic dance welcomes solo dancers as well as partner dancers.
Awareness allows us to respect each other’s space.
Dancing with others:
listen for a Yes (get eye contact first)
respect any No (like when they are ignoring you)
respect the Solo Dancers’ Right to their Space - hands in prayer at heart means: „ I see you, and thank you for the dance (that just ended).“

*To respect everyone's journey please come on time, the opening circle is important part of the process. It won't be too long - around 30 minutes of landing in the space together.
Entrance: 5000 ISK
Everyone's welcome See you soon
