BELTANE is the season of spring when we celebrate fertility. The sexual energy, the creative force within us is in full force. We also celebrate partnership and whether we are in a relationship or not, it is more about the relationship between the inner woman and the inner man and their sacred union.
In coming together we tune into our power - our creative sexual energy. We set an intention for the next period and explore what we want to invest our energy in - what we want to create.
In dance, we connect with each other through the elements. I will guide you through body and movement into release and self-experience through conscious dance. We will connect with our power - the creative sexual energy that gives us the ability to live our life and create it our way. Through the body, we will have the opportunity to notice where we are /consciously or unconsciously/ surrendering our power and open the way to re-embrace the power we have. We will deepen our relationship with ourselves.
We will experience the themes of self-love, self-worth and self-esteem and the responsibility to stand in our place and play our role in life through the body. We will dance with the polarities within us /yin and yang/ and their eternal dance. We will touch the sacred place where these polarities meet and create the unique essence of the present moment. We will look back, recapitulate, let go of what has been, and open the way to dreaming and new intentions. We will connect with community and empower our first steps towards realizing our vision.
In the Cocoa Ceremony, we anchor our intentions in our hearts and deepen our shared vibration. Flow, togetherness, trust, acceptance, self-expression in a shared circle. The medicine of the circle reminds us that we are all connected - Aho mitakuye oyasin. With medicine songs, we sink into our center, where we rest and allow ourselves to express our uniqueness through song, in the safety of a circle among like-minded people.
