1Who and where are you?
I’m Efrat from Israel a dancer of life, deeply connected to the physical body and devoted to guiding people toward inner peace and their resources. For over 20 years, I’ve led a movement community and supported others in self-discovery through body, heart, and consciousness. A family woman and a peace seeker, I believe we are here to grow and transform.*
2Are you a Movement Medicine teacher and/or facilitator? When did you train? When did you graduate?
I am a teacher. I trained in 2021 and I graduated in 2022.
3Who do you serve with your Movement Medicine work?
I lovingly serve anyone who wishes to move and grow through conscious dance of any age, background, or experience. I’m especially drawn to those discovering their body, taking their first steps into movement. My heart’s calling is to awaken their inner spark for life, open the doorway to embodied imagination, and guide them home into the depths of their being, through the healing power of the moving body.
4What is the meaning of this work for you?
This powerful body of work is a true blessing in my life. It’s my safe haven and inner anchor. It reawakened my spark for life, amplified my passion, playfulness, and creativity. It balanced my inner fire, deepened my feminine softness, and became a path of self-discovery and purpose. Through it, I keep learning who I am and why I’m here. It brought depth, meaning, and joy into my life.
5Please tell us about two recent precious moments you’ve experienced in your professional Movement Medicine work.
In a recent dancing in the forest class on Yin and Yang, a first-time dancer suddenly began leaping joyfully, barefoot, light and free embodying pure childlike wonder. We were all in awe.
In another session with elderly Yaman women (80+), we invited our ancestors. The room filled with powerful presence. They opened their hearts, felt deeply, and shared moving messages they received. It was sacred, emotional, and unforgettable.
6Please tell us something about when you recognised that Movement Medicine was going to play an important role in your life.
It was during a workshop with Ya’Acov. I had my first vision: I clearly saw where I came from and felt a deep sense of belonging after years of disconnection. Later, in the Initiation workshop, after dancing relation ship with my father, i open my eyes I saw on the top of the Alter a picture of my father holding and kissing me with deep love. It healed a childhood wound and revealed Movement Medicine as my path of healing.
7The thing you find yourself saying most often to your participants
Welcome yourself just as you are.
The Earth is your friend-lean into her.
We are a web of living connections.
Let’s hold hands, activate the imagination, stay curious.
Listen deeply to the body.
Let it move you.
Be touched, amazed, and inspired by its wisdom.
8If you had 9 words to say anything you wanted to the world, what would it be?
