1Who and where are you?
I am Christl Riemer-Metzger and I live in Munich, Germany. I have a son and a grandson. I always loved dancing and became a Movement Medicine teacher after my retirement. This gives me a lot of joy.
2Are you a Movement Medicine teacher and/or facilitator? When did you graduate?
I am a Movement Medicine teacher and I graduated in July 2026.
3Who do you serve with your Movement Medicine work?
I serve all those people who want to dance their life and want to have a deep, personal connection to their body, heart and soul. I especially invite all those who struggle in life because of disabilities and hindering obstacles and who want nevertheless to dance, and to lead their life intensely and with joy. I want to support people to realize their dreams and offer dancing for this.
4What is the meaning of this work for you?
I've learnt a lot from Movement Medicine and know my body and soul much deeper now; dance and movement connect me to myself and as well to others and the world around me. I want to pass this on and I think the earth benefits human creatures feeling a deep connection to themselves and to others. Though this they are, I note, more attentive to the living world of which we are part.
5Please tell us about two recent precious moments you have experienced in your professional Movement Medicine work.
One disabled dancer who often dances in my living room classes says she dances in my living room like nowhere else. She dances a lot on the floor and can relax with this into just being. During a workshop about dreaming we realized that all the 8 participants had to struggle a lot just now in their lives and felt a high vulnerability and were so glad and felt supported to explore their dreams.
6Please tell us something about when you recognised that Movement Medicine was going to play an important role in your life.
One of those moments was during the Initiation Workshop 2019. After we had heard our epitaph and grave speech (written by ourselves), we went to a place of transition into the next era of our life. I meditated for some time and suddenly heard a voice saying; “Believe in your dreams”. At this moment I knew that Movement Medicine is for me a support and a source of joy and deep connection to myself and to the spiritual realm.
7The thing you find yourself saying most often to your participants
Dance in your way, how it is right for you and your body, just now in this moment. And listen to your body what it has to tell you and what it needs.
8If you had 9 words to say anything you wanted to the world, what would it be?
Be your ancestor's wildest dreams and love your life!

Favourite Track and Why?
