1Who and where are you?
I am a mother, a lover of music, dance and ceremony. Weaving my life experiences from the healing arts into heart centred teachings, rooting my magic through the medicine of the Dance. I am deeply passionate about our Earth, all our relations and bringing people together from all walks of life. I am based in the Garden Route, South Africa.
2Are you a Movement Medicine teacher and/or facilitator?
I am a teacher. I trained in 2018 and graduated in 2025.
3Who do you serve with your Movement Medicine work?
For the past 15 years, my work has been rooted in my community along the Garden Route, South Africa. I have also been cocreating transformative experiences with dear friends at Holistic Horse Farm, Origins Movement, and Alkhemikal Dreaming. My journey includes hosting retreats, workshops, ceremonies, and classes, as well as serving local communities in need. My Movement Medicine work welcomes people of every background weaving a web of connection and remembrance.
4What is the meaning of this work for you?
It's an honour to witness the presence of the dancers through their embodied prayers. Magic truly happens when they give themselves back to the intelligence of the dancer, being able to alchemise any story and take back their power, remembering who we truly are through the spirit of the dance. Movement Medicine is rooted in transformation, coming home to ourselves and living, breathing and moving from the heart.
5Please tell us about two recent precious moments you’ve experienced in your professional Movement Medicine work
At our local venue witnessing the fire in the middle of the dancers, a remembrance of the ancientness of coming together in community & celebrating life. The dancers truly experiencing the interconnection of the elements, all our relations and the medicine of the dance. Some precious words that were shared recently by some of the dancers; “Your laughter brings me laughter. Your courage gives me courage. Your integrity blasts my heart open” (mirrors of their own qualities, of course).
6Please tell us something about when you recognised that Movement Medicine was going to play an important role in your life.
The moment I met my teachers, I felt a deep recognition, a remembering of a calling that had always been within me. In their presence, I realised that Movement Medicine was not just a practice but a path of service, healing, and connection. From that moment, I knew this work would play a central role in my life, guiding both my own journey and the journeys of those I serve.
7The thing you find yourself saying most often to your participants
Hello my heart how are you today. Presence and breath, activating your life force Honouring and welcoming the wisdom of the body, heart, mind, spirit and soul. Soften, allow, play, be wild, embrace the spirit of the dance and be moved. It takes embodied human beings walking this Earth. Remember and Be Kind
88. If you had 9 words to say anything you wanted to the world, what would it be?
Laugh, forgive, honour nature, cherish all creatures, embody grace.
