Melanie has held a lifelong love and curiosity for the magnificence and mystery of the Human species.
From a young age, she hungered to understand the Mind and embarked on the Humanistic Counselling journey in her early twenties; from here, she entered the Nursing world. By the time she reached her late 20s, she had grown within her heart and being, harbouring many important existential questions that needed answering.
So she left for India, and as destiny would have it, she very quickly met her spiritual/meditation teacher, with whom she has sat for many long, silent retreats over 20 years, moving ever deeper into the question: Who Am I?
Alongside these contemplations, Melanie ventured into Motherhood and has one delightful son who is now 21 and the Joy of her life.
Her work has become holistically therapeutic and currently includes being a Hatha Yoga Teacher, Trauma therapist, Bodyworker and Energy healer.
With over five years of dedicated practice in Movement Medicine, Melanie brings a deeply compassionate and embodied approach to her work. Having completed her teacher training, she weaves this powerful practice into her role as an end-of-life and grief doula, creating spaces where movement becomes a gateway for expression, connection, and healing.
Melanie holds regular bi-weekly classes within closed groups, offering a consistent and trusted environment for participants to explore their inner landscapes through movement. Alongside this, she facilitates grief-tending days and workshops, gently supporting individuals and communities to honour, express, and share their grief in meaningful and transformative ways.
Her work is rooted in the belief that the body holds wisdom, and through movement, we can access pathways to process loss, reconnect with ourselves, and find a sense of belonging within community.
