Katja is an Artist, Dance Therapist and Movement Medicine teacher.
For many years, she lived a nomadic life, traveling to wild places all over Europe. She let herself be inspired by the beauty of the earth and created pieces of art on pieces of found items, on walls inside and outside of houses, on paper, on wood, on stage props or canvas. She settled in the Rhön, barefoot on a piece of land for 7 years, in deep communication with fire, earth, plants, the sounds of nature and the deep dark night sky. She learned how earth speaks to us through hands, feet and hearts and how we ourselves are earth.
The call for community made her learn to be a bridge for those who long to return to their deepest self through contact with fire, earth, water and air. She studied to become a Dance- and Movement Therapist and Movement Medicine Teacher. Now she brings her special and deeply soulful way of perception to the dance. Her way of accompanying people in their process is rooted in her trust in the original creativity of life. The energy created by playful, spontaneous creativity enables us to discover and appreciate ourselves, to return to the connection with our deepest and wildest imagination and to experience how magical and beautiful each of us is.
