Johanna Salm-Stromeyer

Johanna works as an Interior Consultant and is famous for her Room Whispering skills. Based in London, she has been working with clients across the UK, Austria and Germany for over 20 years.

Her projects stretch from assisting decorating a 44 room castle in Austria, to city apartments, country chalets and family homes to finding the right fabric for reupholstering beloved grandmas chair or manufacturing the perfect sized ottoman, the missing staircase runner. Finding the right fabric, wallpaper, rug and colours is one of the many talents Johanna enjoys sharing.

Through her education as a tailor Johanna brings an in-depth knowledge of fabrics. In 1997 she changed from sewing dresses to creating curtains and blinds and in 2004, founding her own company offering bespoke services in soft furnishings.

For more than 10 years Johanna lived in 5min walking distance to the London Chelsea Harbour Design Centre, the biggest in whole of Europe. It’s become her second home with numerous valuable trade accounts enabling her to pull drawers from a huge library of materials and sourcing the perfect ones to fit her individual projects.

What Johanna offers is not decoration alone. It includes accompaniment and energetic work. Through her long studies with the School of Movement Medicine, Johanna applies the living wisdom of the school’s Mandala with its 21 gateways.

„Making Interiors Dance“ is Johannas Motto and her dream to bring her clients in harmony with their living spaces to create warm welcoming homes for them and their loved ones — because when you truly feel at home and safe in your space, something in you settles, softens, and comes alive.
