Martha Graham writes that 'dance is the hidden language of the soul' and my path has always been about seeking ways to find, express and live from soul.
For the first part of my life I focused on academic and practical achievement. I am grateful for that life and all it taught me. I trained as a Librarian and had a rich and interesting career. Apart from my professional qualifications I also have an MSc in Personal & Organisational Development.
My soul journey brought me to Movement Medicine and included shamanic practice, ritual, story telling and myth, writing and creating. Somewhere along the way I fell in love with nature and being on this planet. All of this is intimately connected with the freedom, physicality, creativity and soulfulness I find when I dance and move.
Because movement brought me confidence, courage and creativity I decided to train as a teacher and offer regular classes in my local home town.
“Dance into Life is a remarkable space where you can go deeply through an inner journey during the course of a session, always going to a depth and along a path that is right for you. As dancers, we are held by Ann’s powerful guided practice instructions and the music and intention she brings to create an environment where we can truly unfold. It is an unparalleled place for practice and connection which we are lucky to get to benefit from.” Regular Dancer - Regular dancer
