Anna Halprin, dancer, teacher and activist, has just died at the age of 100. She is one of the extra-ordinary grandmothers who have inspired our work and touched our lives with such beauty, wisdom and radical insight.

Though we never worked with her in person, our lives and our work and our embodied dance practice have been deeply touched by her legacy through our long term work with Helen Poynor, one of her long term students, and also through the profound film about Anna Halprin's work "The breath made visible" (highly recommended).

When we watched this film we recognised that so much of what is now normal in the field of conscious dance, came through Anna Halprin. Thank you!!!!

So today, we dance in honour and gratitude for the cosmic, beautiful, magical and healing dance you danced here on earth, and we wish you all blessings on the journey in the mystery now.
