Why is movement medicine?
Dancing changes your world. New research confirms what we already knew through our own experience. Dancing changes the world as one experiences it, benefiting your body, heart, brain and soul, and therefore profoundly affects who and how we are able to be and engage as part of the world.
Our focus this month will be on the essential core message of this practice, namely, Movement is Medicine. Our enquiry will take you deeper into understanding the profound value of bringing dance into your life, not as an "add on" but as an intrinsic part of how you live.
For the dancer in us, that part of us that knows itself as the unbroken and moving intelligence of life itself, everything is an invitation to embody what is, and give it back to the dance. Our tears flow, volcanos erupt, peace descends – and all of it is part of the dance.
