Embark on a transformative journey with Sarah Harlow

A warm invitation to join a closed group for 8 weeks to explore ways to flourish together. The group will be limited to 16 to ensure ample time and space for the work. The cost is reflected in this small group constellation.

Places are strictly limited to ensure enough time and space for the work. There are 4 bursary places at a concessionary rate for those who are experiencing significant financial hardship. Please get in touch ASAP if you feel you are eligible for one of these.

About the course

We will create a sacred, safe space to explore, express, heal and celebrate life, through the mediums of Movement Medicine, Embodiment, IFS (Internal Family Systems) and Systemic, Transpersonal Psychology.

I am combining the powerful modalities of IFS therapy, which explores the dynamics of the inner ecology of Self and parts, with the expressive and healing movement practices of Movement Medicine dance. This combining is a natural synergy born out of my own explorations and passion.

Both these approaches hold a systemic view - they place the self and parts within a wider context of the various systems of which we all belong, including family, community, social, political, historical, racial, class etc. They also hold a transpersonal dimension – they place self and parts in the context of the sacred, transcendent dimensions of being, recognising that we are all an intrinsic part of nature. Transpersonal psychology draws on the connection between individual identity and the broader, transcendent aspects of consciousness, fostering a deeper understanding of the self within the context of the universe.

Throughout this course, we will delve into the depths of our inner and outer worlds, access our naturally wise loving self (WLS) and uncover the entanglements of internal and external family systems in order to re-constellate and integrate.

Through awakening the Dancer and WLS we will access the imaginal and divine realms through dance, guided visualisations, contemplation, meditation, sharing circles, partner work, and creative endeavour. We will explore our ‘parts’ / stories / beliefs / thoughts, through the physical, mental, emotional and energetic realms in order to welcome and express the complexity of being human.

You will be supported by the facilitator(s), each other, and the non-human realms; nature, elemental, imaginal and divine, to access as much love and wisdom as you can handle!

Working in a group

This group offers you a supportive and nurturing environment. Groups can be very potent and have the potential to facilitate and catalyse deep healing for relational wounds and belonging.

Other benefits of being in a group include:

Support and Validation: there is an opportunity to share experiences and struggles with others who may be going through similar challenges. This can foster a sense of belonging, solidarity and validation.
Diverse perspectives: Groups can expose us to a variety of perspectives. This diversity can offer new insights and alternative ways of approaching life that may not be evident in individual therapy.
Communication: Interacting with others in a group can help us develop and refine our communication skills, curiosity, empathy, and assertiveness. You will have the opportunity to practice these attributes in a safe and supportive environment.
Feedback and accountability: There will be opportunities to offer feedback, encouragement, and accountability to one another. The idea of Sangha or Kula (sacred community) is to support one another to feel connected, seen and on track with our individual and shared longings, intentions and commitments.

I very much look forward to welcoming you and setting sail on this journey together!

Symmathesy

Each one of us is a crooked tree
Reaching for water and light,
Bending ourselves around obstacles,
Scary thoughts, hurtful moments,
darkness & thirst,
Finding a way to breathe in the sun and hold the soil,
Our branches are kinked and twisted,
Because that is what it took to be here,
The ways of learning to be in our worlds,
Have shaped responses,
Our many experiences are speaking through every gesture.
Our loves, and broken paths, a tenderness, a criticism,
Learning always,
Yearning always,
In crooked beauty…
To be a home for those who may find comfort
In the asymmetry of our belonging,
A nest cradling new life,
Tucked into an old log teeming with creatures,
learning to be in each other’s reshaping.
