Over the years, we have worked together in my village and in the UK, where every year I join Ya’Acov and Susannah’s Long Dance ceremony. So I have come to know him both as a friend and as a very genuine and compassionate shaman. He has put his knowledge in the service of healing through music, sound and movement, and leads very powerful ceremonies that transform thousands of people, helping them to deal with their suffering and answer their most important questions. He is a great healer who has helped me in my shamanic spiritual growth.
Ya’Acov is a gifted healer of the highest integrity. His work will help you understand, embrace and harness the power of your Inner Shaman. His words and guidance serve as a path to live with greater purpose and create a world where we can turn suffering into healing. Thank you, Ya’Acov, for being such a blessing, in and for our world.
Only a truly authentic leader could bring a book titled Shaman into existence, and there is no question that Ya’Acov Darling Khan deserves the honour. Shaman is an invitation not just to the younger generation, but to us all. To see our lives as canvasses ready to be made into art. To step up and into our true power and transform some of its most pressing issues. “We are made of star dust” Ya’Acov reminds us, and if we engage with Shaman like the blessed text it is, the possibility of transformation for ourselves and the world we occupy stands before us. May its message travel far and wide.
As a teacher, Ya’Acov is a “high voltage catalyser”, and working with him has changed my life and the way that I show up in the world. Welcoming shamanism is a subtle and organic process—one of deep alchemy and importance for these times—allowing the density of life to be transmuted into healing.
Working with Ya’Acov saved my life, and restored my mental health. I reclaimed my soul which had been lost in the complex conditioning of society and my unguided adventures with drugs and alcohol. The essence is this: healthy shamanism is deeply rooted in the practical day to day of life and may include but is certainly not all about ‘far out’ experiences.
It doesn't matter what cultural background you are from, Shamanism is nature's medicine. As we truly are, in connection with the nature around us and in us. We have lost this connection. Now is the time to turn this tide. We are ready to activate the medicine within us, now. From within us. Not from outside of us. Shamanism is a door to healing. To shake off your blinders, of all unnatural behaviors and beliefs and imposed dogmas. It is time to regain the trust again in who we are. For real.
