Force from the Source
“After the longest night, tomorrow we sing up the dawn. There is a rejoicing that, even in the darkest time, the sun is not vanquished. As of tomorrow, the days begin to get longer as the light of day grows. While the gentle winter sun slowly opens its eyes, let us all bring more light and compassion into the world.” Dacha Avelin
Winter Solstice is a time of quietude and introspection, yet it is also a period of potential, marking the longest night before the gradual return of light. Our ceremony aims to help you tap into the deep well of your inner resources, kindle the fires of your spirit, embody your prayers and continue the process of digesting and learning from the past year. We will take time to acknowledge what has been and the impact this year has had on our lives and on all our relations. Giving ourselves back to the beat enables us to digest and let go, emptying out what no longer serves from the body-heart -mind and making space for hope as the light of a new journey around the sun beckons.
This ceremony is free for Hub members. It is also open to your friends, now that it has happened, through the recording which is available to non-Hubbers through the EVENTS part of 21 Gratitudes.
- The Connection Game: a playful yet profound game for remembering together with your families and friends. When you meet up, or on zoom, or with Hub Buddies after sharing a practice together.
